Conflict breeds hunger.
60% of the world's hungry are living in places affected by war and violence.
Four out of every five children whose growth has been stunted due to malnutrition live in these places.
Uprooting families, ruining agricultural lands, and disrupting economies, conflict is devastating the lives of children.
Don’t forget Afghan children who are fighting for survival
“Afghanistan’s crisis has gotten worse since the start of the conflict in Ukraine.
Attention has turned away, and the country has rapidly slipped into one of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
Failure to act immediately will have grave consequences. We’re already seeing families selling their children or marrying them off.
Many more children will suffer and die if Afghanistan is forgotten.
We need to act now, release frozen funds, and agree to fund long-term development. Time is running out."
- Asuntha Charles, National Director, World Vision Afghanistan
More than 5 million Afghan children are just one step away from famine.
Help us reach them today.
Oftentimes, the focus is on the conflict and the danger and not on the many untold stories of the children living in these places who are:

In the world’s most dangerous places,
where life changes in an instant,
your constant aid makes a world of difference.

Prone to natural disasters and coupled with poor basic infrastructure, movement restrictions, and limited trade opportunities, the population lives precariously. Now with the military coup, the situation is dire and the people are in urgent need.
THEIR WORLD IN PIECES
By 2030, 80% of the world’s poorest people will live in the world's most dangerous places.
Life in such places can change frequently and often in an instant, exposing vulnerable children to violence, exploitation, deprivation, abuse and neglect for generations.

FEAR

LACK OF
RESILIENCE

POLITICAL
UNREST

DISEASES
& PANDEMICS
Without proper nutrition, healthcare and sanitation facilities, children are susceptible to infectious diseases.
CHRONIC
INSTABILITY
Children are left extremely vulnerable to exploitation, deprivation and violence, often for generations.

But survival is just the first step.
RECOVER
We help families adapt and build their resilience to shocks by supporting rehabilitation, recovery from psychosocial effects of violence or upheaval, enabling access to basic services.
