AFG- Response HS-2
Stand with children in Afghanistan who are fighting for survival

After years of conflict in Afghanistan, the impact on children is devastating. Countless innocent people have been wounded, killed, or displaced.
And it is only getting worse. 18.4 million people,
including 8.2 million children, have already needed humanitarian and protection assistance in 2021 and this is growing.

“History has shown that the resilience and fortitude of the Afghan people are extraordinary. But it has its limits.
They are now at their most vulnerable and we cannot abandon them now.”
says World Vision Afghanistan National Director, Asuntha Charles

No child should live in fear, help them today!

Amidst these dangerous places, millions of girls and women live in fear of violence that wears many faces – just because they are girls.

Help break the cycle of harsh realities where girls are forced into child labour, child marriage, and early pregnancy.

Help us create a world where every girl can leave fear behind and live her dreams.

Join our movement to sponsor 1,000 girls by International Day of the Girl, October 11.

Conflicts, worsening drought due to the outbreak of locusts, and the raging pandemic have left children in Northern Ethiopia displaced and battling hunger. Your support will help us reach them with the essential supplies they need to survive.

The political and security upheaval in Afghanistan is a living nightmare for its civilians. Countless more vulnerable children will pay the ultimate price as they are caught in the maelstrom.

Since 2012, the Rakhine state in Myanmar has been shaken by the ongoing conflict. Prone to natural disasters and coupled with poor basic infrastructure, movement restrictions, and limited trade opportunities, the population lives precariously. Now with the military coup, the situation is dire and the people are in urgent need.

You
can save a girl from marriage,
a child from malnutrition or a mother from losing her child.

OUR APPROACH: SAFEGUARDING OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURES

With more than 30 years of experience working in dangerous countries,  World Vision is uniquely positioned to deliver child wellbeing impact in these areas.

As situations often change frequently and without warning in the world's most dangerous places, context-specific interventions are designed to be dynamically adjusted in real-time, in response to changes in context.

You will help children in the most dangerous places on earth to survive, recover, and build a future, through World Vision interventions including:

survive@2x

SURVIVE

We help children and families survive by meeting their life-saving needs, such as clean water, providing food and non-food items, health care and other immediate needs.

But survival is just the first step.

recover@2x

RECOVER

We help families adapt and build their resilience to shocks by supporting rehabilitation, recovery from psychosocial effects of violence or upheaval, enabling access to basic services.

rebuild@2x

BUILD A FUTURE

And we help them build a future by advocating for lasting peace, by building bridges where there are divisions, and by addressing root causes of deep poverty and exclusion

 HOW YOU CAN HELP

World Vision has worked in fragile states for over three decades to provide life-saving support and durable solutions for the world’s most vulnerable children.
